Could you specify what header layout do you use on your web-site? At the moment “Login / Register” links are available only for “E-Commerce” header layout. You can change it in Theme Settings -> Header -> Header layout. The actual option for login links you can find in Theme Settings -> Shop -> My account -> “My Account link in header”.
